University has competent faculty performing cutting edge research and development collaborating with top ranking Universities and Institutions nationally and globally. The high impact publications and ability to attract competitive grants attests the quality of our research. Research cell of PU is the nodal office which coordinates all activities relating to research and development, intellectual property and industry interaction. The cell also manages the Ad-hoc faculty program, visiting fellowships, of Post-Doctoral / Research Associates fellowships and research scholars. We facilitate the academic research and development activities as well as consultancy starting from submission of new proposal to execution and completion of the sanctioned projects. This includes appointment of project staff, procurement of equipment and consumables and submission of necessary documentation to the funding agency. We provide all the necessary support for the smooth execution of research activities in the University. Following are some of the mandates of the Research cell:

1. Coordination with the Office of the Registrar, Finance Officer, Library and Purchase section to fulfil the needs of the projects such as (i) appointment of project staff, (ii) procurement of equipment, consumables and books, (iii) disbursement of project staff salary and fellowships and (iv) submission of SoE and UC.
2. Coordination of consultancy, industry interaction programmes such as Executive Development Programmes, Management Development Programmes and Intellectual Property Rights.
3. Any other issues relating to research activities and fellowships from time to time.
